In Kind Donations

How (and what) to donate to the Library

How can you donate to our library? It's a popular question. The answer depends on what you want to donate.


Support us by clicking here. We appreciate cash donations of any amount. These funds are used to support collections and programs at our Library. All contributions to our library are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

What We Accept:

Accepting donations of hardcover and paperback books, games, video games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs only. Please no textbooks, Reader's Digests, magazines, encyclopedias, VHS tapes or law books.

We cannot guarantee that materials will be added to our collection. Items not added to our collection may be sold at the Friends of the Library Used Book Sales. We'll recycle any unacceptable materials.

We accept rare and used books, CDs and DVDs.
We do NOT accept: magazines, broken or damaged items, and anything in a format we don't circulate (like cassette tapes, videotapes, and records.)

Materials for our History Collections

We welcome the donation of rare and unique materials. Please contact Executive Director Debbie Jack at or at 610.398.1361 x22.

Are You a Local Author?

Donated books are subject to the same selection criteria as books the Library purchases for the collection. Materials that are not selected will be sent to the Friends of the Parkland Community Library for use in its semiannual book sales.
